NPPC Case No. 06-11, Case No. 05037, Lisa Marten:
Respondent submitted false time sheets which included the signature of the superintendent which she had “cut and pasted.” Respondent pled guilty in the Thomas Count to Attempted Second Degree Forgery, a Class I Misdemeanor and was sentenced by this same court to a six-month term of probation.
NPPC recommendation - two-year revocation. State Board decision - concurred.
NPPC Case No. 06-13, Case No. 06020, Gene Boeka
Respondent pled guilty in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska to the offense of Robbery, a felony. He was found guilty by this same court and sentenced to a term of twelve months and one day to the Bureau of Prisons and a supervised release for a term of three years. Special assessment of was ordered in the amount of $100.00, and restitution in the amount of $7,761.00 with release pending executive of sentence.
NPPC recommendation - five year revocation and before any certificate be issued to the Respondent in the future, he shall have complied with all terms and conditions of the U.S. District court sentencing order. State Board decision - State Board decision - concurred.
NPPC Case No. 07-04, Case No. 06034, Debra Kurmel:
Respondent’s license to practice nursing was revoked for a minimum of two years by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Regulation and Licensure division. The Respondent entered into a Settlement Agreement with that agency wherin Respondent admitted violation her probation due to alcohol abuse.
NPPC recommendation - special services certificate be revoked until she presents to the State Board of Education evidence of the reissuance or the reinstatement of her license to practice nursing by the Department of Health and Human Services. State Board decision - concurred.
NPPC Case No. 07-05, Case No. 06028, Michael Bonner:
Respondent was sentenced by the Douglas County Court to 24 months of probation after pleading guilty to Sale of Obscene Material to a Minor, a Class I Misdemeanor.
NPPC recommendation - permanent revocation. State Board decision - concurred.
NPPC Case No.07-06, Case No. 06037, Geoffrey Kline:
Respondent pled guilty in the Saunders County Court to the charge of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, a Class I Misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 120 days of incarceration and 24 months of probation.
NPPC recommendation - permanent revocation. State Board decision - concurred.
NPPC Case No. 07-09, Case No. 07020, Thomas Henn:
Respondent used school district equipment to access sexually explicit material.
NPPC recommendation - two-year revocation. State Board decision - concurred.
